Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Shop Operations Manager position will provide direction and assistance to the test shop and yard operations to meet short term customer and long-term company objectives. The position will have, in collaboration with the sales team, the ability to take immediate actions to resolve issues.
Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Manufacturing Shop Operations Manager, you will:
+ Drive and lead the safety culture
+ Lead a team of technicians responsible for testing product before field deployment
+ Drive daily schedule attainment to meet all internal and external customer commitments with top quality at the lowest cost
+ Perform inventory transactions related to equipment testing
+ Work with logistics team arranging equipment transportation
+ Motivate and drive productivity among the team members using sound communication skills
+ Use communications skills to daily interact with sales, inventory and field service to ensure positive customer outcomes
+ Assist in inventory control, cycle counts, and physical inventory
+ Assist and support root cause analysis, non-conformity management, and customer complaint activities
+ Assist quality and reliability to solve internal/external quality issues
+ Maintain product knowledge as new products are released
+ Evaluate alternatives and make decisions in a fast-paced work environment Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university (or High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution and minimum 8 years of experience in electrical submersible pump technical and manufacturing environment)
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical submersible pump technical and manufacturing environment Desired Characteristics:
+ Reasonable computer skills, email, Excel, Word
+ Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university
+ Prior equipment testing/manufacturing and leadership experience
+ SAP ERP experience
+ Ability to build and lead a team through change
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
+ Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality training
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Ability to work without direct supervision
+ Strong understanding of business processes in a service environment
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
